Masha Cherezova is a performer, instructor, movement and creative director based in Los Angeles. With over 20 years of experience in classical ballet, Masha captivates audiences with works that bridge tradition with authenticity. 

Cherezova’s creative identity draws from her research in classical ballet, art history, cinema, and the natural world; her fascination lies in discovering the human condition in its most honest states. 

Her works are rooted in movement and span across the stage, public spaces, and film. Most notably Cherezova’s works have premiered at the LA Dance Project, Irvine Barclay Theatre, NYC Symphony Hall, Travel Town Museum, and others. Cherezova often works in collaboration and has created movement for music artists Kanye West, Laufey, Key Glock, and others; as well as fashion brands Venia Collection and RAEANA. 

Cherezova is the recipient of the 2025 Dance on Camera Production Grant and a La Roche Posay sponsored artist. 

As a performer and instructor, Masha draws from her experience as a dancer with the Novosibirsk Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Russia and her training with Bolshoi’s prima ballerina Alla Khaniashvili. While in Russia, Cherezova toured internationally with the company and shared the stage with world-class artists such as Natalia Osipova, Ivan Vasiliev, Denis Rodkin and others.

Currently, Cherezova privately coaches public-facing individuals in a movement practice designed to build confidence, refinement, and wellbeing. Additionally, she is a YAGP judge and masterclass teacher, and a guest choreographer with the Onco-Ballet Foundation, creating works that bring cancer survivors and professional dancers together onstage.
