When returning to a childhood home, traditions reveal themselves like a cyclical nightmare. People, objects, memories are frozen to a single moment in time, like a painting. As the dancers awaken from their ongoing nightmare, they reclaim their individuality and choose the traditions they want to hold on to and those to let go of.

Frescoes is Masha's first dance film as both director and choreographer. Sof Puchley produced the film. Cinematography is by steadicam operator Isaak Morin and original music composed by Yasna Vismale. Wardrobe is in partnership with John Elliott.
