The Healing Power of Touch explores three different types of support systems: internal, external, and communal. Set within a waiting room, we follow a duet, soloist, and community as they each discover the power of support. Through a series of vignettes, each character learns their role within the support systems–their connections grow from being disjointed to being harmonious and expansive, like a safety net.

The piece was sponsored by La Roche Posay and premiered with the OncoBallet Foundation at the Irvine Barclay in October 2025. It brought together a cast of 30+ cancer survivors, some of whom never danced before, with 3 professional dancers from the Novosibirsk Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Houston Ballet Theatre, and the Mariinsky Theatre. The Pacific Symphony partnered with OncoBallet Foundation for the premiere.
